Ron Ben-Meir, DO, FAAPMR, is a board-certified physical medicine and rehabilitation physician specializing in treating sports-related injuries in patients of all ages and experience levels, including competitive athletes and weekend warriors. At his practice, Downtown Pain Management, in Red Bank and Hoboken, New Jersey, he also treats general musculoskeletal pain, including neck pain, back pain, and joint pain. 

As a former Division 1 college football player at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, Dr. Ben-Meir has personal experience with the sports injuries he currently treats. After finishing his undergraduate education, Dr. Ben-Meir earned his doctor of osteopathic medicine at Touro University California in Vallejo, California. 

He went on to complete a fellowship in interventional spine and sports medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in Manhattan, New York. This combination of hands-on experience and training gives Dr. Ben-Meir the knowledge and expertise to treat all types of acute and chronic pain.

All patients receive highly individualized care at Downtown Pain Management. From physical therapy, medical marijuana, yoga, and acupuncture to ultrasound, epidural nerve blocks, and fluoroscopy-guided knee injections, Dr. Ben-Meir specializes in nonsurgical approaches to pain management. He also performs advanced diagnostic procedures like musculoskeletal ultrasound and electromyography (EMG).
